About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Event Coordinator Specialist to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional events.

Job Overview

The Event Coordinator Specialist will be responsible for supporting all academic and programmatic events, meetings, conferences, special events, and other activities for internal and external JHU clients at our DC location. This role will oversee all location scheduling and resource allocation within the 25Live event management database to ensure proper use of facility and eliminate redundancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and coordinating events, meetings, and conferences in multiple modalities (Zoom, in-person, hybrid) while ensuring effective communication with clients.
  • Managing space rental requests and fulfillment for both JHU affiliates and external clients, aiming to generate revenue opportunities.
  • Cordinating 25 Live data validation, integration from other systems, regular reporting, and analytics.
  • Collaborating with facilities, IT, and security to ensure proper staff coverage for events.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for vendor deliveries and coordinating with IT to identify unique multimedia technical needs.
  • Overseeing event floor plans and altered room layouts to include capacity requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with five years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, 25Live/College Net, Social Tables, and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and troubleshoot issues independently.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience using 25Live/College Net scheduling software and higher education administrative experience are preferred.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
