Staff Pharmacist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team at River Oaks Hospital in New Orleans, LA. As a per diem pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:

Fill orders with precision and attention to detail
Conduct quality checks on technician-prepared products
Maintain the security and integrity of our pharmacy and controlled substances
Enter orders and patient information accurately and efficiently
Provide training and support to new staff members
Update the Director on daily pharmacy activities
Collaborate with the Director to maintain pharmacy operations

Requirements:

Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
Louisiana Pharmacist License in good standing
Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
Experience using computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
