At Opportunity Partners, we strive to empower individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. Our Residential Program Supervisors play a vital role in supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently.

Job Summary

This position involves overseeing group homes and providing direct support to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team to create personalized plans, facilitate community participation, and promote independence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in individualized planning processes to ensure person-centered support.
  • Collaborate with care teams and facilitate regular meetings to discuss progress and address challenges.
  • Promote recreational activities and hobbies to enhance quality of life.
  • Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking to promote healthy living.
  • Schedule and attend medical appointments, provide medication administration, and support independent living skills.
  • Provide education and opportunities for problem-solving related to safety skills, apartment maintenance, finances, social interactions, and self-advocacy.
  • Supervise Direct Support Professionals and provide training on person-specific health and support needs.
  • Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate support is provided.
Requirements
  • A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Meeting the qualification standards for a Designated Coordinator (see below).
Designated Coordinator Qualifications
  1. A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health, along with one year of full-time experience in direct care services.
  2. An associate degree in a related field, combined with two years of full-time experience in direct care services.
  3. A diploma in a related field from an accredited institution, accompanied by three years of full-time experience in direct care services.
  4. A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services, combined with four years of full-time experience in direct care services under the supervision of a qualified staff member.
