We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy individual to join our team as a part-time and year-round pet sitter and dog walker. The ideal candidate must reside in Central/Northern Cheshire and be available to work evenings and weekends throughout the year.


Sarah's Pet Sitting is a professional pet sitting company based in Cheshire, CT, providing pet sitting and dog walking services to clients in their homes. Our pet sitters work within a 5-mile radius of their own homes, requiring reliable transportation.


Pet Sitter Responsibilities:
  • Communicate daily with clients and management via text, email, and phone to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide exceptional care for various pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and other household animals.
  • Walk dogs of all sizes and breeds while prioritizing their safety.
  • Service clients in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, cold, heat, and after dark.
  • Enter clients' homes securely, arming and disarming alarm systems as needed.
  • Keep clients' homes and pet areas clean and tidy.
  • Document visit notes for clients and management.
  • Adjust to changing schedules to accommodate short-notice requests.
  • Represent Sarah's Pet Sitting as a leader in in-home pet care.

Basic Requirements:

Applicants must have a valid CT driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a smartphone.

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Complete our comprehensive hiring process, including interviews, reference checks, a personality test, and a national background check.
  • Prior experience working with animals is preferred but not required; we will provide training for the right candidate.
  • Pay is a flat rate per 30 or 15-minute pet visit, plus tips.
