**Job Description**

The successful candidate will serve as Program Director, Academic Physician, and provide professional expertise and leadership to lead a start-up proposed Otolaryngology Surgery Residency. This university-affiliated position requires a minimum of 3 years clinical practice as an Otolaryngologist post-residency and a minimum of 1-3 years as an APD/Core Faculty experience teaching in an approved AOA or ACGME Otolaryngology Surgery Residency program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative leadership and direction to the program
  • Direct patient care, supervise and precept residents in clinical settings
  • Supervise and oversee Otolaryngology Surgery Residency support staff
  • Assist with recruiting of residents
  • Develop, revise, and maintain curriculum
  • Lead residents' performance improvement plans, coaching, remediation, and disciplinary activities as needed
  • Oversee and teach didactics curriculum to residents
  • Evaluate Annual Program Evaluation with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education WebAds

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years clinical practice as an Otolaryngologist post-residency
  • A minimum of 1-3 years as an APD/Core Faculty experience teaching in an approved AOA or ACGME Otolaryngology Surgery Residency program
  • Publishing and grant writing skills preferred but not required
