About the Role

PennState Health is seeking a skilled Statistical Analyst to join our nursing administration team. This exciting opportunity will enable you to apply your analytical skills and knowledge of statistical methods to support research studies, patient quality and safety initiatives, and organizational goals.

Job Description

In this role, you will design and implement statistical methods for research studies, analyze data, and interpret results. You will also serve as a consultant to departmental quality/safety teams, providing guidance on sampling methodologies, statistical analysis, and reporting. Additionally, you will lead educational development strategies to increase understanding of statistical analysis among departmental teams and contribute to the negotiation of software licenses and service contracts.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective policies and procedures, managing expenditures within budget, and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics or related field with 1-3 years of experience in statistical sampling, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats, and use mathematics to answer questions and solve problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply statistical principles to complex problems.
