Job Summary:

The Community Lending Loan Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the operations and processes of the Community Lending Department. This position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent time management and communication skills to adapt to a fast-paced working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Fahe in a positive manner with various stakeholders, including members, clients, suppliers, and the community.
  • Interact effectively with a diverse group of staff and customers, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Support the Loan Officer in gathering required information and documentation, and keeping borrowers informed about the status of loan applications.
  • Maintain positive relationships with third-party vendors, such as attorneys, appraisers, and closing agents, to uphold Fahe's reputation and mission.
  • Assist in preparing loan closing packets for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate activities related to commercial loan documentation and loan closings.
  • Ensure timely completion of pre- and post-loan closings requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the department, including reporting, workflow creation, and special projects.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service approach and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and retain knowledge of MS Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of customer service and lending or loan processing experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Excel is preferred.
