About the Role

Job Summary

The Pediatric ICU Nurse Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of pediatric critical care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care and develop individualized plans of care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in pediatric critical care
Requirements
  1. Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Illinois
  2. Current AHA BLS/CPR certification and other required unit-specific certifications
  3. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team
  4. Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in electronic health records
  5. BSN or MSN degree from an accredited nursing program
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in PICU, NICU, ICU, MedSurg, or ED

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $55,000 and $85,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
