Job Description

Northwell Health seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment plans, and collaborating with patients and their families to promote a positive healthcare experience.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, gathering information about patients' medical history, symptoms, and health status to inform care plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' unique needs and preferences.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and safe administration.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns, and promoting healthy behaviors.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and new technologies.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
