About the Role

We are seeking an Oncology RN to support our office in Chesapeake. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful impact in cancer care and blood disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under physician supervision.
  • Assess and monitor therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills under physician direction.
  • Assess patients for changes in condition, including abnormal labs, x-rays, scans, and drug reactions, initiating appropriate action.
  • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central venous access devices and alternate delivery systems.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Phone triage as assigned.
  • Document all elements of care.
  • Support Medical Assistants.
  • Communicate pertinent information and interventions to physicians or advanced practice providers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred.
  • Oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Current RN state license required.
  • Current BCLS certification required.
  • OCN certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel between offices as needed.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
