Job Summary:

Cambridge International Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of our multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
  • Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
  • Set up administrator accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage space.
  • Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.
  • Considered a recognized authority within the company.
  • Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions that are highly innovative.
  • Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.

Requirements:

  • Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with years of experience or a Master's with years of experience.
  • Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.

Travel Requirements:

In rare/some occasions, overnight travel may be required.

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements.

Office Setting:

Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.

Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
