Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at RTX. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and review of interface documents, system/subsystem requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews.
  • Provide use case briefing development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department.
  • Perform the work under the direction of the Systems Engineering Lead, various product owners, and require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.
  • Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts on an as-required basis.
  • Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development, including iteration planning, statusing, and agile team leadership.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
  • Demonstrated contributions to implementation, including the ability to analyze high-level needs and define a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that led to a fielded product.
  • Demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and have experience in writing and implementing engineering plans within a project.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment.
  • Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense.
  • Experience with Systems Analysis, Metric Development, MBSE, and Architecture development.
