Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at AIMS, LLC. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional, quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Manage Patients

Evaluate and manage assigned patients daily through face-to-face encounters for initial and follow-up visits in collaboration with physicians.

Develop and Implement Treatment Plans

Identify, document, and initiate treatment plans and therapeutic interventions for conditions and symptoms within your scope of practice.

Exercise Professional Judgment

Exercise judgment on conditions and behaviors necessitating psychological testing, interventions, consultation, referral, or evaluation by supervising physicians.

Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests

Order, interpret, prescribe, correlate, and document patient behaviors and progress in relation to pharmacologic and testing interventions.

Participate in Multidisciplinary Teams

Participate in daily rounding as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team.

Ensure Accurate Billing

Ensure accurate and compliant billing for all activities in accordance with coding guidelines and payer directives.

Requirements
  • Active APRN License

Active Indiana APRN License (or active APRN in a different state, with the ability to obtain an IN License).

DEA and CSR Certification

DEA and CSR Certification (or the ability to obtain certifications).

Clozapine Risk Mitigation Strategy (REMS) Certification

Clozapine Risk Mitigation Strategy (REMS) Certification (or the ability to obtain certification).

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to Sit and Stand for Long Periods

Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.

Computer and Communication Skills

Have the ability to use a computer and communicate effectively.

Interaction with Patients

Have contact with potentially violent patients.
