Job Summary:
The Audiologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive audiological tests, including hearing aid testing and evaluation, electrophysiological testing, and balance assessments. They will counsel patients regarding outcomes and communicate effectively with ENT physicians when necessary. The Audiologist will also discuss rehabilitative options that best meet the patient's hearing healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, self, and others.
- Perform comprehensive audiologic evaluations, balance assessments, and electrophysiological tests.
- Provide amplification services, including hearing aid assessment testing and real ear measurements.
- Consult with and make recommendations on hearing disorders to physicians.
- Coordinate care with physicians and other providers.
- Complete chart notes for each patient seen and send written reports to referring physicians and primary care physicians.
Requirements:
- Requires AuD or Master's degree in Audiology with continuous active certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Audiologist experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective working relationships with diverse customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Strong keyboard, computer, and Audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software and equipment experience.
- Ability to organize time and prioritize numerous duties.
- Caring and respectful manner when dealing with customers.
Work Details:
- Per Diem work arrangement.
- Standard hours per week: 4.00.
- Flat rate: $46.08 per hour.
- Onsite work assignment type.
- Day job work schedule.
- Location: US:NC:Cary.
This position is employed by UNC Health, a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
