We are seeking a highly skilled Onsite Interpreter to join our team at Propio Language Services. As a leading provider of interpreting and translation services, we connect people anywhere and anytime through innovative technology and solutions.

Our company was founded in 1998 with a mission to close the language gap and improve the quality of life for the communities we engage with. We provide critical interpreting and translation services in over 350 languages, serving over 6,000 clients with a diverse and highly experienced staff, and a network of over 8,000 contract interpreters.

We are committed to delivering high-quality interpretation services that meet the needs of our clients and their customers. Our interpreters play a critical role in facilitating communication and ensuring that everyone has access to the services they need.

Responsibilities
  • Provide consecutive in-person and virtual interpretation services, including phone and video remote interpretation.
  • Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by our clients.
  • Adhere to all Propio Language Services policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, customers, visitors, healthcare providers, and clinical employees.
  • Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge to meet the needs of various clients, including medical, legal, social services, and others.
Requirements
  • Submission of an updated resume in English at the time of application.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Intermediate-level computer skills.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations, including TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, and Seasonal Influenza (Flu) and Covid.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and background check and security screen.
  • A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of interpreting experience.
