Senior Caregiver Opportunity

Sunrise Senior Living, a leading provider of senior care services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team. As a valued member of our community, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
**Job Summary:**
The Caregiver is responsible for delivering high-quality care and services to a consistent group of residents and their families in our assisted living and reminiscence neighborhoods.
**Responsibilities:
- Build Meaningful Relationships: Establish trust with residents and their families by providing assistance with activities of daily living, attending to individual care needs, and getting to know their unique preferences and personalities.
- Notify Management: Inform management of changes in condition and recommend adjustments in the level of care and service.
- Assist with Life Skills: Help residents with life skills and other life-enriching activities as indicated on their individual profile.
- Blending Experiences: Blend a variety of multi-sensory experiences into the resident's day.
- Participate in ISP Development: Participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates.
- Resident Support: Be responsible for their designated group of residents during the shift, knowing where they are and physically checking on them throughout the shift.
- Community Partnership: Partner with the community team to ensure the community is in compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations.
- Dining Services: Respond to the dining needs of residents and guests while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards.
- Inviting Residents: Invite, Encourage, Assist (IEA) residents in life skills and other life-enriching activities as indicated on their ISP and demographic profile.
**Requirements:
- Dedication to Serving Seniors: Dedication to serving seniors with excellent customer service skills.
- Positive Attitude: A positive attitude, flexibility to perform various duties in service to the residents, and the ability to work in a team environment are keys to success.
- Education and Certifications: High School diploma/GED accepted and may be required per state regulations; must maintain certifications in states where applicable.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Decision-Making Skills: Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident's best interest.
- Communication Skills: Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and a level of understanding.
- Organizational Skills: Competent in organizational and time management skills.
- Judgment and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
