Job Summary

Bridgewell is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 2 to support and assist individuals with disabilities in our Level 2 residential programs. As a key member of our team, you will provide daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living, while promoting independence and fostering a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individualized support and assistance with skills training in all activities of daily living.
  2. Create opportunities for individuals to make decisions and develop their skills, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  3. Ensure compliance with DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and other regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  4. Provide medical, clinical, and financial support to individuals, as needed.
  5. Transport and accompany individuals to medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, as required.
  7. Assist individuals in accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.
  8. Administer medications, as applicable.
  9. Maintain core training certifications, including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP.
  10. Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or DSP Certification preferred.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
  3. Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
