Job Description:
  • We are seeking a qualified Direct Support Professional to join our interdisciplinary team in Russellville, AR.
  • The successful candidate will provide superior quality of service and ensure the well-being of our clients by assisting them with basic living skills and daily personal tasks.
  • This includes but is not limited to; showers, dressing, housekeeping, grocery shopping, preparing and planning meals and financial budgeting.
  • The ideal candidate will also be responsible for providing transportation to and from activities and appointments as needed.
  • Maintaining good communication between staff regarding client needs and progress toward their plan of care is also essential.
  • In addition, the Direct Support Professional will accurately complete all documentation required by FCC, such as Behavioral Reports, Incident Reports, Compliant Forms, Personal Care Work Sheets, Requisitions, Maintenance Forms, Progress Reports, Monthly Attendance Logs, and other necessary documents.
  • A valid Arkansas Driver's License and reliable transportation with state minimum liability insurance are also required.
  • Strict adherence to medication management guidelines and assistance in monitoring and documenting these procedures are crucial.
  • The selected candidate will have the opportunity to organize and carry out recreational activities for our clients, while adhering to proper safety protocols.
  • Firm expectations for good role modeling through appropriate physical appearance, adhering to our dress code, and actions that promote a positive work environment.
  • Treating clients and their families with dignity and respect at all times is a priority.
  • The successful candidate will assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and functioning facilities and grounds.
  • They will also assist in maintaining cleanliness and regular preventive maintenance of FCC vehicles.
  • Attending necessary training and continuing education sessions will be mandatory.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all information received regarding Friendship Community Care, Senior Center Programs, and Clients is essential.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two+ years experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation with state minimum liability insurance are required.
