About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. This includes leading or participating in implementing network security policies across routers and firewalls, managing production networks, and ensuring the continuous availability of all data network services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead or participate in implementing network security policies across routers and firewalls
  • Manage production networks including Internet Protocol backbone, data centers, and edge pops across the globe
  • Ensure the continuous availability of all data network services
  • Identify gaps, risks, and issues and navigate organizational structure to resolve them
  • Perform quarterly proactive network testing to ensure proper functioning and reliability of the network
  • Investigate and remediate network capacity-related issues
  • Apply knowledge of security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions
  • Provide resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis
  • Deliver comprehensive and maintenance plans for change management review and approval
  • Mentor and train network operations team in the installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Partner cross-functionally with other Product Infrastructure teams in order to continuously improve and apply standards and policies relevant to operational excellence
Requirements:
  • 4 years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer who can do product engineering on Network Management tools & application
  • 4 years of Linux operating systems administration
  • 4 years of working experience on any of the network management tools like performance/fault or configuration management tools
  • 3 years of shell/command-line experience or support of Perl, Python, or other development/scripting language
  • 2 years of Agile Delivery experience
  • 5 years of experience with configuration management and automations on Network devices, Telemetry data, Data streaming, traffic analysis
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Broadcom Network monitoring tools such as Spectrum, NetOps, and AppNeta
  • Should have experience on one of the below tools:
  • Broadcom DX NetOps, AppNeta, DX Virtual Network Assurance, DXOI, Traffic Analysis Tools like Apcon, Netscout, Extrahop, Arista DMF, Arista CVaaS, FORTINET Applications
  • Working knowledge on Big Data solutions like Elastic Search, Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Splunk etc.
  • CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge with experience in network domain knowledge on all areas including network designing, troubleshooting network issues in large scale enterprises with vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, F5 etc.
  • Experience with network automation, visualization, and diagramming applications
  • Experience in integration of applications and application data
  • Working knowledge of lifecycle management, including implementation, maintenance, patching, health checks, application capacity planning, and decommissioning
  • Experience in a large corporation/enterprise environment with 10's of 1000's of devices
  • Good understanding of management process frameworks, such as ITIL
  • 2 years of applied workflow automation development
  • 4 years of Linux administration
  • 4 years experience with Virtual Machine hosted deployments
Job Expectations:
  • Occasional weekend and after-hours work
  • Participate in on-call rotation

  • This is a hybrid role 3 days on-site, two days remote
