Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will design, simulate, and validate high-speed digital and analog circuits to meet signal integrity and power integrity requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Design and simulate high-speed digital and analog circuits using industry-standard tools such as Ansys SIwave, HFSS, HSPICE, and ADS.
  • Collaborate with hardware design teams to develop PCB layouts, stack-ups, and routing guidelines that optimize signal integrity and power integrity performance.
  • Conduct pre-layout and post-layout signal integrity and power integrity simulations to identify and mitigate signal integrity issues, including reflections, crosstalk, and power distribution network noise.
  • Familiar with one or two scripting languages such as Python, Matlab for automation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design, signal integrity, and power integrity design methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master or PhD's degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in microwave and signal integrity/power integrity fundamentals, including basic analog circuits, transmission line theory, crosstalk, s-parameters, channel simulation, power distribution network, and electromagnetic interference.
  • Expertise in electromagnetic fields with hands-on experience using 2.5D and 3D solvers such as SIwave, HFSS, Sigrity, and circuit simulators including ADS and HSPICE.
  • Detailed understanding of digital and analog equalization and familiar with using IBIS-AMI model in channel simulation.
  • Experience in package design (Cadence Allegro, Virtuoso, Caliber...) is a plus.
  • Some background in industry standards and protocols such as DDR, PCIe, CPHY, etc.
  • Some experience in silicon level signal integrity and power integrity analysis flow and tool (Redhawk and Voltus) would be a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
