Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the City of Converse, Texas. As an essential member of our staff, you will provide administrative support to our Police Department, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage administrative tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and filing documents.
- Assist with various projects, such as preparing reports, creating spreadsheets, and drafting correspondence.
- Operate office equipment, including personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and postage machines.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient communication and problem-solving.
- 4+ years of experience in administrative work with similar duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bilingual language skills (English and Spanish) a plus.
