At North Bay Children, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Diverse Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our educational community, this role will be responsible for creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of young children.

About the Role

We are offering a competitive salary of $24.5-31 per year for this full-time position.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in ECE programs and hold a valid CTC Teacher Permit or equivalent. They will also possess strong written and spoken Spanish language skills, as well as solid working knowledge of Community Care Licensing requirements, California Department of Education regulations, and industry best practices.

This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement activities that align with our philosophy and goals. The successful candidate will be able to maintain accurate records, manage classroom environments, and provide excellent communication with parents and staff.

The selected candidate will undergo regular self-assessment, participate in performance evaluations, and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities. A valid Driver's License is required if transporting children, and all necessary certifications, including CPR and First Aid, must be maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and inviting classroom environment, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement activities that promote social-emotional, cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, and physical development in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
  • Conduct Desired Results Developmental Assessments on children and participate in semi-annual parent-teacher conferences.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, recognizing and respecting their cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Engage in open communication with parents, responding promptly to their concerns and feedback.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in ECE programs.
  • Valid CTC Teacher Permit or equivalent.
  • Strong written and spoken Spanish language skills (desired but not required).
  • Solid working knowledge of Community Care Licensing requirements, California Department of Education regulations, and industry best practices.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid Driver's License (if transporting children).
