Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Oneida Health's Extended Care Facility (ECF). As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and providing physical therapy treatment to patients in accordance with written prescriptions from qualified providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained
  • Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc. as necessary
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as outlined by the State Physical Therapy Practice Act as well as Physical Therapy Aides and clerical employees assigned to the service
  • Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required; adequately liaise with families and residents
Requirements
  • Current license and registration to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of NY
  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (Preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience may be considered

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
  • Able to demonstrate patience and empathy
  • Trusted to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good knowledge of anatomy and physiology, neurology, and socioeconomic factors affecting a patient's disabilities
  • Computer skills relative to electronic records, charting, and auditing
  • BLS/CPR Certification
