Position Overview

The HVAC Service Specialist plays a crucial role within CPR Air Conditioning, reporting directly to the Service Manager. This position is dedicated to executing a variety of HVACR tasks for a diverse clientele, including industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating as part of specialized Service Department teams to ensure timely and effective HVACR service delivery.
  • Conducting routine HVACR maintenance tasks independently, without direct supervision.
  • Supporting Senior Service Technicians in mentoring fellow employees on service-related topics, including preventative measures and equipment handling.
  • Engaging in point-of-work sales for indoor air quality services, unit components, replacements, and service agreements.
  • Generating lead referrals for the sales team.
  • Assisting with non-service tasks to support the Indoor Air Quality and Installation Departments as required.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of high school education and a post-secondary HVACR training program lasting two years or more.
  • A minimum of one year of successful experience in commercial service or installation roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret manufacturer instructions and effectively interact with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Physical capability to perform all outlined responsibilities under various environmental conditions.
  • Proactive in enhancing HVACR skills through self-directed learning, company-sponsored training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Possession of a valid operator's license and the ability to operate all vehicles in the corporate fleet.
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks while accommodating customer needs and workload demands.
