Job Title: Transportation Sergeant

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Sergeant to join our team at East Texas Treatment Facility in Henderson, Texas.

Job Summary: As a Transportation Sergeant, you will be responsible for supervising transportation officers and other designated employees, maintaining order and discipline among inmates, and ensuring the safe and secure transportation of inmates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and train transportation officers and other designated employees.
  2. Maintain order and discipline among inmates during transportation.
  3. Ensure the safe and secure transportation of inmates.
  4. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records.
  5. Respond to emergencies and use force and deadly force when necessary.
  6. Read, review, and apply information found in inmate records.
  7. Assist in the supervision of the preparation and maintenance of records, forms, and reports.
  8. Prepare and complete required incident reports and logs.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent.
  • Two years of full-time, wage-earning correctional custody or law enforcement experience.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
