FSQA Lead

The FSQA Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products.

You will oversee a team of Quality Assurance technicians, coordinate quality assurance and food safety activities, and contribute to the development and implementation of our overall quality programs.

Your expertise in food safety, attention to detail, and ability to effectively lead and motivate your team will be essential to your success in this role.

• Plan and coordinate quality assurance and food safety tasks to be followed on the floor.
• Ensure that quality assurance technicians, specifications, pictures, labels, and other quality assurance tools are properly issued on time to the floor based on production schedules.
• Oversee daily duties of other quality assurance technicians on shift.
• Perform and follow-up on finish product dimensional checks.
• Perform and follow-up on product control attributes product analysis for products that require such analysis.
• Be the lead person on proper ingredients and bags inspections and follow-up on planned inspections on your shift.
• Assist quality assurance technicians on proper line cleaning verification, foreign body investigation, etc.
• Assist FSQA supervisors with overseeing daily workload for each technician on each shift.
• Responsible for training new quality assurance technicians and assist them in problem-solving with production personnel.
• Coordinate communication of quality assurance and/or food safety issues with production supervisory personnel and FSQA leadership.
• Generate non-conformance reports and follow-up on ingredients placed on hold.
• Maintain and improve on the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture.

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
• Minimum 2 years relevant food safety and quality assurance experience in an automated food processing plant.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
• Basic computer skills required.
