Job Title: Surgical Services Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Surgical Services team at Good Shepherd Health Care System.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide expert care to patients undergoing surgery, working closely with anesthesia providers and surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is a full-time, day shift position with no weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with surgeons and anesthesia providers to develop standards of care for pre-surgical patients
  • Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgeons to optimize patient readiness for surgery and anesthesia
  • Communicate plan of care with PAS nursing staff and update as necessary
  • Work with PAS nurse to ensure testing/treatment has occurred before the day of surgery as appropriate
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners
  • Master of Science in Nursing degree
  • Three years minimum acute care RN/NP experience
  • Previous surgical experience desired
  • Unencumbered Oregon License NP
