We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare organization.
Job Summary
The LPN is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This includes administering medications, performing phlebotomy services, and collecting and documenting patient data. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or advanced practice nurse.
- Collect and document patient data, including vital signs, medical histories, and treatment outcomes.
- Perform phlebotomy services and collect blood samples for laboratory testing.
- Assist with care of patients at the direction of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Physician, Physician Assistant, or Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- CURRENT LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) from the state of employment (required)
- BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (required)
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (may be required for specialty areas)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (may be required for specialty areas)
- NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program (may be required for specialty areas)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of clinical patient care experience (e.g., PCT, CNA, LPN) in an acute care setting, long-term care facility, or physician practice
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
- Completion of Basic Arrhythmia class with passing grade on exam (required for Telemetry/Remote Telemetry units)
