Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services to students, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress monitoring.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Assess student needs and develop strategies to promote independent functioning.
  • Provide education and training to students, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in IEP conferences and other meetings to ensure coordination of health services.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
  • One year of prior professional occupational therapy experience preferred.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR certification if applicable.
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
