Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team at Indiana Packers Corporation. As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will provide technical leadership and support to our electrical maintenance team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Design, implement, and maintain electrical control systems to meet production goals and customer demands.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to develop and implement capital projects for new equipment and facility expansion.
  • Support and upgrade security camera and access control systems to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste and improve maintenance efficiency.
  • Work with internal and external groups to understand their key issues and assist with improvements.
  • Update electrical schematics to reflect changes in the electrical distribution and control systems.
  • Provide necessary updates to team members and increase project awareness.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in electrical technology through an ABET-approved program and 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment, or 5+ years of heavy industrial experience as an electrical technician with PLC and HMI experience.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and rapid troubleshooting skills for a variety of electrical systems.
  • Experience with electrical distribution and control systems, network protocols, and PLC and HMI systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and similar office software, and ability to work with team members of all levels.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
