Retail Store Key Holder

Key Holder Responsibilities

As a Key Holder, you will play a pivotal role in guiding your team to reach new levels of success each day. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying customer needs and serving as an outfitter, ensuring our guests are fully prepared for their adventures through exceptional product knowledge.
  • Assisting the Store Manager in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of store staff.
  • Providing constructive feedback to team members to foster a culture of open communication.
  • Implementing a training plan and offering real-time coaching to enhance key performance indicators.
  • Supporting marketing initiatives through in-store promotions, client outreach, and community engagement.
  • Compiling reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Maintaining inventory levels to ensure the availability of merchandise and services.
  • Upholding Filson's Standards and Operating Procedures to ensure brand consistency.
  • Creating a safe and clean shopping environment for both employees and customers.
  • Driving a performance culture through effective customer service and sales strategies.
  • Enforcing company policies, programs, and procedures to support store operations.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional sales skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a leadership capacity.
  • The ability to utilize data for informed decision-making.
  • Experience in developing and nurturing talent.
  • A friendly demeanor and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in PC-based applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Reach overhead and pull items from shelves.
  • Bend, kneel, or stoop as needed.
  • Stand for extended periods.
