Insurance Customer Service Representative

About the Role:
- You will set up accounts for automatic payment withdrawals, process daily incoming payments, refer unpaid balances to a collection agency, review outgoing refunds for accuracy, respond to emails from agency force and other departments to answer questions related to policy billing, review policies for reinstatement, and process returned payments.
- Flexibility is key as you will have other duties and projects as assigned.
About You:
- A high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of relevant experience is required, with 1-2 years of billing, account payable or receivable experience and an Associate's degree preferred.
- You must have strong customer service skills, including solid verbal communication and business professional writing skills, as well as strong initiative and the ability to work independently, processing approximately 150 - 200 tasks per day.
- You must maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude at all times and be flexible and adaptive to a frequently changing work environment.
- A strong computer skillset is required to quickly learn our multiple systems, with Excel experience preferred.
What We Offer:
- An estimated salary range for this role in Manhattan, Kansas is between $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
