We are seeking a dedicated Medical Support Professional to join our team at Penn Medicine's Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing top-notch care to our patients.

About the Role

This full-time position is responsible for supporting the practice by collecting and reporting patient data, incorporating organizational competencies, and working under the direct supervision of Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares exam rooms for provider evaluation of patients, maintaining adequate stock levels of medical supplies and other required items.
  • Performs appropriate inventory control methods, ordering medical supplies to ensure ongoing patient care isn't compromised by lack of necessary items.
  • Assists with data collection for nursing history and physical (vital signs, height, weight, blood sugar results, functional status), communicating changes to the RN or CRNP in a timely fashion.
  • Provides patient and family information to the RN or CRNP for coordination of care.
  • Secures stock items in appropriate locations and delivers patient-specific items to assigned RN or CRNP.
  • Maintains a safe environment and protects the patient from injury by observing the patient who may be at risk for falls, confusion, disorientation, wandering, or suicidal behaviors.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) certification.
  • CNA Certification by the State of Pennsylvania.
  • High School Diploma/GED.

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
