About the Role:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will provide high-quality patient care in compliance with hospital policies, standards, and philosophy. This includes providing interventions to individuals with chronic, traumatic, or developmental illnesses, impairments, and disabilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide competent treatment to in-patients and/or out-patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs
  • Develop and implement interventions to improve patient function and independence

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited school
  • Current COTA licensure in Florida
  • BLS certification
  • One year of experience preferred
