Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to conduct program monitoring and review case files to ensure compliance with contract and agency requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of monitoring protocols, performance standards, and County, State, and Federal contract requirements for Stage 1 and CDE funded child care programs.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for conducting ongoing compliance case file reviews, ensuring findings reports are completed each quarter, and reviewing files, documents, and processes for compliance.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, knowledge of agency policies and procedures, and the ability to work harmoniously and productively with others in a culturally diverse environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct ongoing compliance case file reviews
  • Ensure findings reports are completed each quarter
  • Review files, documents, and processes for compliance
  • Validate documentation is submitted within specific time frames and is accurate in accordance with contract requirements and department standards
  • Keep knowledge current with regulatory requirements and contract changes
  • Understand monitoring processes for the Family Services CDE Department
  • Validate work and reports are timely according to regulation
  • Input results into a database or Excel or other application
  • Identify problem areas, help develop solutions to increase compliance, gain efficiency, and maximize quality of service
  • Participate in ad hoc work groups, committees, and planning meetings
  • Perform other duties to support department and agency goals as assigned by the CDE Program Coordinator
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited university
  • 2-4 years of related work experience in subsidy programs may be substituted for degree
  • A minimum of two (2) years working with subsidy programs with compliance or quality review
  • Must have knowledge of monitoring protocols, performance standards, County, State, and Federal contract requirements for the Stage 1 and CDE funded child care programs
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and custom applications
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Knowledge of agency policies and procedures, workflow, and process maps, and organization structure
  • Knowledge of regulations for Stage 1 and CDE funded programs
  • Knowledge of regulations for Title V
