Job Title: EPIC Coordinator

Location: Remote with occasional onsite in Raleigh, NC

Duration: 10+ Months

Job Summary:

Crescens is seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team as an EPIC Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and supporting EPIC modules, including EpicCare Ambulatory, Wisdom General Dentistry, and MyChart Patient Experience Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary support contact for the application's end-users
  • Develop solutions using programming expertise for day-to-day problems
  • Evaluate hardware availability and software requirements
  • Identify issues that arise in the application and work to resolve them
  • Guide workflow design, build, and test the system
  • Identify and implement requested changes to the system
  • Serve as a liaison between end-users' workflow needs and EPIC implementation staff
  • Maintain regular communication with EPIC representatives
  • Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows
  • Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership

Requirements:

  • Certified by EPIC in EpicCare Ambulatory, including Wisdom General Dentistry, EpicCare Link, and MyChart Patient Experience Platform
  • EPIC implementation or operations support experience
  • Health IT experience
  • Familiarity with EPIC tools: Care Everywhere, SmartForms, Meaningful Use, and Specialty Modules
  • Knowledge of EPIC Care Everywhere, SmartForms, Meaningful Use, and Specialty Modules
  • Familiarity with hospital outpatient department relationships and how such groups interact
  • Thorough knowledge of assigned data and the use of its systems
  • Familiarity with non-clinical external groups that need to access information about certain patients
  • Working knowledge in application development and system integration
  • Familiarity with dental practices' workflows
  • Skilled in enterprise systems and familiarity with best business practices related to systems
  • Familiarity with legal requirements and operational policies related to patient and family privacy practices
  • Working knowledge of security protocols for systems utilized
  • Working knowledge of the current architecture of systems and information to troubleshoot problems
  • Working knowledge of the business functions and system needs of the unit
  • Ability to manage timelines, financial resources, and the activities of others
  • Experience in the entire development process, including specification, workflow analysis, workflow diagrams, data modeling, documentation, and quality
  • Coordinate and direct computer systems and application design and development
  • Experience in assessing user needs through discussion with customers
  • Ability to convey technical information to clients and promote understanding of relevant issues
  • Software quality assurance/testing experience
