Driving Cost Savings and Innovation at American Honda Motor Co.

American Honda Motor Co. is seeking a seasoned Procurement Sourcing Strategist II to join our team in this key role, focused on driving cost savings and innovation in sourcing and procurement.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth and profitability. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, improve supplier performance, and optimize the procurement process.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the automotive industry and experience working with global suppliers. They will be able to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop recommendations to drive business decisions.

About the Role:

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and improve procurement processes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions
  • Analyze complex data to identify trends and develop recommendations to drive business decisions
  • Contribute to the development of company-wide procurement policies and procedures

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and develop recommendations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Knowledge of procurement software and systems, including auctions, RFPs, and contract management

What We Offer:
