Job Overview

The primary care physician will lead clinical and administrative responsibilities in a full-time role under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer. This position offers opportunities for part-time and consulting work.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across various settings, collaborating with non-physician practitioners and interprofessional team members.
  • Maintain strong relationships with facility leadership teams, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, patients, and families.
  • Support up to 15 nurse practitioners and physician assistants in their clinical roles, adhering to state regulatory parameters.
  • Audit up to 10% of practitioner medical orders and documentation for each provider monthly, ensuring compliance with state and regional frameworks.
  • In cases of need, assume medical directorships for skilled and senior living facilities.
  • Identify new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and senior living facilities in the market or region.
  • Participate in company-wide call processes to respond promptly to acute changes in condition and prevent avoidable hospital transfers.
  • Focus on quality outcomes, including care path compliance, productivity, prevention of avoidable transfers, and decrease in polypharmacy and costs of care.
  • Attend required trainings and meetings as mandated by the CMO or other leaders to ensure best care delivery.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine with a Doctor of Medicine degree.
  • Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
  • Clinical medical experience of seven years or more is preferred.
Certifications and Licensure
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics is preferred.
  • Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine.
  • Active unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of employment.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $**250,000 - $350,000** per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, along with opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.
