Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our dynamic finance team at Jobot in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary ranging from $125,000 to $175,000 per year, along with a 401k match and performance increases. Our small team environment offers ample opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting.
  2. Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis.
  3. Conduct regular financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and prepare business plans.
  4. Evaluate and ensure the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
  5. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  6. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  7. Provide leadership in developing short- and long-term strategic financial objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role, preferably as a Controller.
  3. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  4. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  5. Proficient in MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
  6. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  7. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  8. Ongoing communication and interpersonal abilities.

About Us:

1. Overseeing all financial operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting.
2. Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.
3. Conducting regular financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and preparing business plans.
4. Ensuring the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
5. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
7. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
8. Providing leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
