Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Biostatistician to join our team as a contractor. The successful candidate will work closely with our Therapeutic Area lead biostatistician or project lead statistician to implement and execute methodological and statistical aspects of clinical studies.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to a clinical study team on all relevant statistical matters, ensuring the clinical study is conducted in a manner that supports planned statistical analysis, and participating in the preparation of study protocols and amendments.

You will perform sample size calculations, write statistical methodology sections of protocols, and develop statistical analysis plans (SAPs). Additionally, you will provide programming teams with definitions and documentation for derived variables needed to produce planned Tables, Figures, and Listings (TFLs), and collaborate with programmers to develop data and programming specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing case report forms (CRFs) and providing comments and feedback
• Developing statistical analysis plans (SAPs)
• Providing programming teams with definitions and documentation for derived variables needed to produce planned TFLs
• Collaborating with programmers to develop data and programming specifications
• Performing statistical analysis according to SAPs, validating analysis programs, reviewing TFLs, preparing statistical methods and results sections for clinical study reports (CSRs), and providing statistical insight into interpretation and discussion of study results

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a Master's degree in a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience. A strong understanding of biostatistical principles, expertise in clinical research, and proficiency in statistical software packages such as R or SAS are essential.
