JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate heavy trucks in various settings including residential areas, commercial zones, recycling facilities, and construction sites, as well as on public roadways such as highways and interstates.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Maintain communication with the dispatcher throughout the workday.
  • Utilize provided tablets to log and track loads in our operational system.
  • Keep precise records and documentation of daily loads.
  • Remove potential road hazards, including debris, rocks, mud, dirt, sand, gravel, and plastic from truck sides, rails, doors, bumpers, fenders, wheels, and frame rails as necessary before departing from job sites or yards.
  • Ascend the attached metal ladder on the front right of the truck to inspect the interior for unauthorized materials, individuals, or animals.
  • Open and close the rear door of the truck.
  • Ensure that the equipment and vehicle are maintained in safe working condition.
  • Ability to install chains on tires when required.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid CDL Class A license.
  • Current Medical Certification.
  • Clean driving history and background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Availability for overtime, including some weekends.
