Compensation: $25/hour plus shift differential (2nd shift: $25/hour, 3rd shift and weekend shifts: $27/hour)

About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for moving materials to and from production areas, ensuring an efficient production flow through the plant. You'll perform inventory transactions, including transfer and location audits, and verify prescribed accuracy levels within assigned inventory locations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Moving all materials to and from manufacturing areas
  • Keeping all 'floor' inventory properly stocked and organized for efficient use by production
  • Verifying prescribed accuracy levels within assigned inventory locations
  • Participating in the recount team during floor counts
  • Utilizing problem-solving methods to resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Filling picking locations in both warehouses on a daily basis and rotating stock properly
  • Performing duties in a safe manner, using all approved safety equipment as instructed
  • Actively participating in and supporting teamwork and continuous process improvement
  • Demonstrating flexibility and commitment through cross-training and helping other departments consistent with business needs
  • Serving as back-up to Shipping Department

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • To be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Three months or equivalent experience in inventory control with a strong math and organizational skills
  • An understanding of materials flow are preferred
  • Computer knowledge helpful
  • To be able to obtain forklift certification
