Compensation and Benefits

Job Description

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor in the Medical Oncology Unit is responsible for directing and coordinating all functions in the unit. As a leader, you will be expected to have clinical competence, supervise personnel providing direct patient care, and support staff development programs to enhance professional growth.

  • You will assess the need for and assist in the creation and implementation of staff development programs to enhance professional growth of personnel.
  • You will facilitate ongoing performance improvement activities which correlate to the Hospital-wide Performance Improvement Program with involvement of all levels of staff on designated shifts as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current Alaska nursing license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit required, prefer 3 years.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BSN) preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course within 1 year of hire date preferred.
  • Basic Rhythm Interpretation class required within 6 months of hire.
