Job Overview

Southcentral Foundation seeks a Medical Professional to provide acute, chronic, emergency, and preventive medical health care to Village residents in rural Alaska. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the cultures and needs of this population and be committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services.

The Community Health Aide is responsible for operating within the guidelines of the CHA/P Manual and their level of training, as well as acting within the limits of their Standing Orders when applicable. This position has five levels of progressive responsibility and training, with opportunities for advancement based on qualifications and performance.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of skill, expertise, and compassion. As a Medical Professional in our team, you will be expected to:

* Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses
* Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
* Conduct routine check-ups, administer vaccinations, and perform other medical procedures as needed
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

* A high school diploma or equivalent; OR GED
* Completion of the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Standards and Procedures for the respective level
* Successful completion of relevant certifications, such as Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) or Emergency Medical Technician certification
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary Range: $20-$44 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
