Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Health System Finance & Controller to lead our financial operations. As the Senior Accounting Officer, you will oversee essential functions, including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll departments
  • Development, recommendation, interpretation, and implementation of policies and procedures affecting general accounting, financial reporting, receivable valuation, fixed assets, inventory valuation, internal controls, and auditing
  • Preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, and reconciliations
  • Provision of strategic guidance to executives, physicians, and staff through financial analyses and reporting
  • Servicing as a primary contact for external auditors and completing month-end and annual financial statements in collaboration with the University of Missouri System Controller's Office
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the Missouri Board of Accountancy or another state board (active or inactive)
  • Three (3) years of relevant healthcare leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field
  • External audit background with public accounting experience

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $167,668 - $273,603 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.
