Performance Foodservice seeks a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Fleet Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium to heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.

Salary and Benefits

Job Description

This role includes performing preventative maintenance, overhauls, and thorough documentation of work done. You will ensure compliance with safety standards and perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.

You will also be responsible for inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition. Additionally, you will install, replace, and repair onboard computers and provide guidance to other Mechanics.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 5 - 7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration &/or overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
