Responsibilities

  • Perform routine ventilator and artificial airway treatments in critical and general care areas.
  • Assist physicians and perform routine and respiratory care activities as necessary.
  • Accurately and completely document respiratory care by following established charting procedures.
  • Select, assemble, and check respiratory care equipment for proper operation and cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a CoARC-accredited approved school required.
  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) by the state of Georgia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
