Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to professional nursing standards.
  • Delegate and supervise patient care activities.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and promote team functioning.
  • Utilize Health First computer systems for patient care documentation.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care based on current evidence-based practice.
  • Provide patient, family, and caregiver education as directed by the plan of care.
  • Deliver service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for their needs and expectations.

  • Associate Nursing Degree or Diploma from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement required.
  • Must hold AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card and maintain certification.
  • Must hold current AHA ACLS certification required prior to start date and maintain.
  • Must hold current NIHSS certification required prior to start date and maintain.
  • Minimum of 1 year emergency department experience in an acute care facility required.
  • Must be able to speak and understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
