Job Description:

The Central Ordering Coordinator position provides essential support to the purchasing department at Zippy's Inc, fostering effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to optimize purchasing policies and functions across various divisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  2. Align purchasing activities with the company's strategic objectives, promoting efficient decision-making and process improvements.
  3. Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement and delivery of goods and services.
  4. Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, production, and management, to resolve quality and delivery issues promptly.
  5. Analyze high product variances and develop strategies to mitigate these discrepancies, collaborating with management to implement corrective actions.
  6. Foster open communication between vendors, departments, and stakeholders to prevent issues and ensure timely resolution of problems.
  7. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of online ordering systems, guiding managers in their effective use and providing support as needed.
  8. Accurately determine product requirements, calculate usage, and communicate needs to distributors to guarantee timely availability.
  9. Create and update product information in BOH software, reviewing and processing weekly bids in online ordering systems to ensure accurate pricing and effective procurement.
  10. Maintain up-to-date Product Contract Forms and distribute them to relevant parties.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work scheduled hours (Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm) with flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • Strong physical abilities, including sitting, standing, walking, and frequent reaching/bending.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good decision-making, assessment, and planning/organizational skills.
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior purchasing experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Desired skills include effective communication, interpersonal skills, good attitude, problem-solving & decision-making skills, planning & organizational skills, computer experience with MS365, and self-development skills.
Estimated Salary Range:

$65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on location and experience.
