Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional teacher to join our team at West Contra Costa USD - Richmond. As a Special Education teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to students with special needs.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires a deep understanding of curriculum guidelines and requirements. You will work closely with the IEP team to develop individualized education programs for each student. Your primary responsibilities include planning and implementing academic and social-emotional learning activities, monitoring student progress, and maintaining accurate classroom records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field and at least three years of relevant experience working with students with special needs. A valid teaching credential, Clear or Preliminary Authorization, and English Learner Authorization are also required. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.

Benefits:

As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
